Welcome to DVDTrials.net!

Our goal is to help you find the right DVD subscription provider for you. There are many different DVD subscription services, each trying to entice you with sign up offers or special features from their service like game rentals or blueray movies. We’ve tested nearly all of them and we’ll share our opinion and some great special offers with you here.

How do DVD subscriptions work?

Simple. You sign-up and create a list of movies you’d like to rent from your dvd subscription provider e.g. Lovefilm. As soon as a movie on your list is available they’ll post it to you. Usually you can keep it as long as you like, then when you’re finished you post it back. Then they check the list and send you the next available movie from your queue.

That’s it?

Almost. That’s the basics. Of course there are some additional options, such as the number of movies or games you can rent at any one time.

The Free DVD Trials

Every service offers some kind of sign-up incentive to get you to use them. If you were really sneaky you could just trial all the services first then make your final decision. Some trials can last as long as 30 days, our special Lovefilm trial is 30 days plus a £10 Amazon voucher! One thing to note is that some of the service are actually run by the same fulfillment company (under different names) and they’ll cancel your free trials if you sign up to multiple schemes run by them.

What else should I consider?

The size of the catalog on offer. Large providers like Blockbuster or Lovefilm will help myriad thousand of movies, so get a niche as you like and you’ll still have plenty of options. Smaller providers might not have the range you are looking for.

Price. It’s a competitive market, while most packages are going to cost somewhere between £15-£25 make sure you’ve price compared and considered that a small monthly saving will add up over the course of a whole year.
